JSA2026 Full Vision Post: “What We’ll Do for Life in New York
Categories :
What We’re Fixing — And How We’ll Do It (R3A inside)
“I’m not a good candidate — I’m the right one.”
We don’t need another politician. We need a plan that works for real life.
Families are crushed by costs, towns are ignored, and basics like child care, transit, power, and safety don’t feel dependable.
This campaign is a promise: if it doesn’t help New Yorkers this year, we don’t put it on the page.
R3A — Regulation Relief & Renewal Act (The Engine Behind Every Fix)
- One‑Page Rule: Any state form over one page or one hour → simplified or scrapped within 12 months.
- 90‑Day Green Light: Agencies must decide complete applications in 90 days. Miss the clock → auto‑approval with post‑audit rights.
- Five‑Year Sunsets: All regs expire unless re‑justified with fresh cost‑benefit analysis.
- Single Portal: One login for permits, inspections, fees, and status tracking across agencies.
- Small‑Biz Freedom: Under 25 employees? Exempt from big‑corporate reporting (core safety/health intact).
- Fast Lanes: SEQRA time cap (≤18 months), Housing Zones on a single clock, and an Infrastructure Acceleration Board.
- Scorecards & Bounties: Public grades for agencies; rewards for killing obsolete rules.
Fair Maps — Real Representation
- Stop “cracking & packing”; keep towns and counties intact where possible.
- Neutral mapping + open drafts + hearings statewide (not just in Albany).
- Constitutional safeguards that outlast any party.
- When maps don’t match real life, people lose faith. Fair maps restore it.
Affordable Child Care — Work Without Fear
- Statewide network of affordable, community‑based centers with hours that match real jobs.
- SUNY/CUNY pipeline for child‑care workers; paid practicum solves staffing and builds careers.
- Employer incentives for on‑site/near‑site care; transparent pricing and quality standards.
- No parent should have to quit a job because they can’t afford child care.
Reliable Power — Double Output, Lower Bills
- Nuclear NY: Three‑wave buildout of SMR campuses upstate + a 2–4 GW clean‑firm downstate site to cut congestion costs.
- Uprates & life extensions at existing stations; microgrids for critical services (MTA hubs, hospitals).
- NYPA ownership + long PPAs keep financing costs low and bills stable.
- Build where plants already exist. Use existing grid, water access, and skilled labor. Respect communities with real benefits.
MTA Overhaul — Fair Fares, Honest Management
- Distance‑Based Fares: Tap‑in/tap‑out via OMNY; daily/weekly caps; expanded Fair Fares.
- Power‑Up: Double traction power on priority corridors; storage at hubs; flood sensors and fix‑by dashboards.
- Annual independent audits + Rider Watchdog Board + transparent change orders.
- No more paying more for less. Riders see where every dollar goes.
Flood & Storm Resilience — Keep Neighborhoods Open
- Gate vulnerable entrances; upgrade station pumps; live outage & fix‑by maps.
- Green drainage: bioswales, plaza storage, updated storm codes to keep water out of subways.
- After‑action deadlines with progress photos — no more vanishing promises.
- We don’t just warn you about water. We move it.
Crime & Community Safety — Protect & Rebuild
- Detention for violent felonies, sex offenses, gang crimes, and armed robbery.
- Tourism Zone Protection: focused units for Times Sq., boardwalks, parks; shut down open‑air drug markets.
- Second‑Chance tracks for non‑violent offenders: shock programs, mandatory work/education, job pipelines.
- Safety is freedom. Order is dignity. Work is hope.
Liberty & Survival — Independence You Can Use
- Honest Money: recognize gold/silver; protect cash; no forced CBDC.
- Grow Freedom: right to grow food statewide; HOA preemption; seed swaps and compost standards.
- Off‑Grid Rights: solar, storage, rain capture with simple, safety‑first permits; microgrid pilots.
- Hope Through Healing: supervised therapeutic frameworks for PTSD/trauma under licensed care.
Be Part of the Fix
Your $10 keeps the truth loud, the plans moving, and the dashboards live. If it doesn’t help New Yorkers, we don’t spend it.
