NY Politics: From Spitzer to Cuomo to James—How Many Scandals Is Too Many?

Author: Jason S. Arnold
Campaign: JSA2026 – Turn New York Red

“They don’t want BETTR, they just want back in power.”

From sex scandals to corruption charges, the Democratic leadership in New York continues to recycle names instead of fixing problems. And now, they want Cuomo back? As if nothing ever happened?

🚨 A Timeline of Scandal & Hypocrisy

  • Eliot Spitzer: As AG, he fought prostitution. As Governor, he was caught soliciting prostitutes.
  • Andrew Cuomo: Resigned under pressure amid sexual harassment allegations and nursing home death cover-up scandals.
  • Letitia James: Launched headline-making investigations into Trump while allegedly avoiding scrutiny of her own office’s ethics and internal misconduct.

🤯 Recycled Politicians, Recycled Problems

Despite all this, Cuomo is being floated again. Why? Because the Democrats have no one BETTR to run. That’s not leadership—it’s desperation.

📉 Decline in Trust, Quality of Life, and Accountability

  • New York ranks among the top 3 states for outbound migration every year since 2020.
  • Statewide public trust in government is at an all-time low of 28% (Siena College, 2024).
  • Over 50% of NYC voters said in a 2023 poll that they feel less safe than five years ago.

New Yorkers—Aren’t You Tired?

Tired of the hypocrisy? Tired of the corruption? Tired of being embarrassed on the national stage? It’s time to clean house—and build something BETTR.

🗳️ Time for Something BETTR

As Governor, I will end the cycle of corruption and restore integrity to Albany. Public office must never again be a shield for scandal or a reward for silence. It must be a mission of service and accountability. And I will see to it.
