📢 Campaign Update from Jason S. Arnold

📢 If I won’t defend myself, how could I ever expect you to trust me to defend you!!

First, I want to apologize for the light posting this past week. It’s not because the work has stopped—far from it. I’ve been quietly focused on drafting detailed policies that reflect the values of justice, safety, and accountability for every New Yorker.

One of those policies was inspired directly by a personal and deeply troubling experience I had at The Veianna of Roslyn on May 4th. What should have been a peaceful family gathering turned into a confrontation rooted not in truth, but in others refusing to accept responsibility for their behavior. I was accused, judged, and ultimately made to feel unsafe—not for anything I did wrong, but because others failed to act with basic human decency.

Let me be clear: No one should ever leave a venue unsure of their safety or be blamed for defending their own boundaries. I’m working on a Safe Venue & Guest Accountability Act, which will ensure that all venues in New York must provide formal, unbiased incident reports, secure personal property, and protect innocent guests from slander or forced removals based on hearsay.

If elected Governor, no one in this state will be left alone to navigate public humiliation or injustice. We will build a New York where safety means more than security guards—it means fairness, dignity, and real accountability.

Thank you for your patience—and stay tuned. We are just getting started.
